Karicom Consulting was created a Caribbean woman of Guyanese descent who has a desire to include people of her culture and race into the world of Technology. After years of small, odd jobs she wanted a career change from the usual customer interaction. She craved the idea of making an impact within an organization.

As of March 2021, our Information Security course is 12 weeks long. The course has 9 lessons, 9 quizzes and a comprehensive final exam. 

All registered students can access the course via the Academy Portal

The course is currently only offered in English. The prerequistes include: basic computer knowledge, willingness to learn, ability to research and dedication.

At the moment, all lessons are taught sequentially and so students are encouraged to follow along accordingly. Nevertheless, curious students are more than welcome to research topics well in advance. 

Anyone who is independent, possesses Basic Computer Knowledge, efficient with Microsoft Office tools (Or willingness to learn independently), self-motivated, and a quick learner is welcome to take the course. 

A degree is not required as a qualification for this course. 

No. Students do not need any IT certifications in order to take this course. 

No. This course is not related to computer programming or coding.
